It is the only home to the majestic Asiatic lions. Spread over 1,412 square kilometers in the state of Gujarat, Gir National Park will truly mesmerize you with its royal and magnificent lions. The shy and elusive leopard also calls this place his home.
The beauty of Gir is further enhanced by its other residents like the Marsh Crocodiles, numerous species of birds, deer and other incredible animals. To take a dive back into history, places like Somnath and Junagadh can also be visited from Sasan-Gir.

- The park is open from the 16th of October to the 30th of June every year.
- Unlike other national Parks, there are 3 safari time slots available through the day – 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. / 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon & 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- There are only a limited number of safari permits available. Hence it is advisable to book in well in advance.
- The Park fees & rules are subject to change without prior notice.
- As a government law, a copy of your identification proof will be required to reserve safaris.
- As a government law, you will be required to carry your Original Identification proof during safaris.
